Blogging Rules
First Readers : As a first reader, you are responsible for posting initial questions and insights about the material. Your post should be an approximately 200-300 word response to that day’s reading. There are a number of ways to approach these open-ended posts: consider the reading in relation to its theoretical context; write about an aspect of the reading that you don’t understand, or something that jars you; formulate an insightful question or two about the reading and then attempt to answer your own questions. Initial responses must be made 24 hours BEFORE the class in which the reading is assigned. Respondents : As a respondent, you need to build upon, disagree with, or re-think the first readers’ posts. All responses must be posted within the 24 hours after the in-class discussion. Searchers : As a searcher, you will find and share at least one relevant outside resource. This can be a link to a website, an interview, a short YouTube clip, etc...
